There is good information about the Canadian perspective of Black people in Canada through a lens of equity (outcomes/results). It would be helpful to be provided with a contrast of experiences of Black people in Canada through a lens of equality (opportunities/chances). While some Black Canadians struggle in Canada, many more prosper and excel. It would seem like the victimization of Black people is one way to see experiences, however, Black people also thrive and enjoy influence and status. How might this level of excellence have been achieved? It would strengthen the discussion with opposing views to the equity lens for this course to have a complete picture of the Black experiences in Canada.
